Log meals in seconds
Four ways to log. No weighing, no math.
Pick whichever is fastest for the meal in front of you.
- Snap Point the camera at your plate. TrackAI recognises the foods and estimates the portion, calories and nutrients.
- Describe Type it in plain words: "two scrambled eggs with avocado toast". Good for meals you already ate.
- Barcode Scan a packaged food and get the nutrition from the product database.
- Label Photograph a Nutrition Facts panel and TrackAI reads it for you.
Everything is editable before you save: pick a portion, change the amount, or tell it "I used oat milk" and it re-estimates.

Food score
Rewards whole, unprocessed food
Every meal is scored 0 to 100 for quality, with a one-line reason. Your day's score is weighted by calories, so dinner counts more than a coffee.
How the Food Score worksVitamins & minerals
Fiber, vitamins and minerals are tracked automatically against goals set for your age and sex, with a tip for what to add next.
Your personal AI coach
More than a tracker: a coach that sees your day
It knows your goal, today's meals, your activity and what is left of your calories, so its answers fit you, not an average person.
- "What should I eat for dinner?" gets a meal that fits the calories and protein you still have.
- It logs for you. "Log a glass of water" and it is in. "Add two eggs and toast" comes back as a card to confirm.
- It fixes meals. Tell it the latte was oat milk, or the portion was bigger, and it updates the entry.
- Replies in the language you write in, whatever language the app is set to.

Questions, answered
What is TrackAI?
TrackAI is an AI calorie counter for iPhone. Snap a photo of your meal, type what you ate, scan a barcode or photograph a nutrition label, and it logs the calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, vitamins and minerals, plus a Food Score for how wholesome the meal is. An AI coach that can see your day answers questions and can log food or water for you.
How much does TrackAI cost?
TrackAI works with a subscription. TrackAI Pro is weekly, or yearly with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers, and it includes unlimited meal scans, the AI coach, the recipes and the full nutrition breakdown. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you subscribe, and you can cancel anytime in your iPhone settings. If you installed TrackAI before version 1.0.4, when it was free, you keep every feature at no cost.
How accurate is counting calories from a photo?
A photo gives a good estimate, not a lab measurement. Portion size is the hardest part to judge from a picture, so TrackAI shows what it recognised and lets you correct the name, portion or any number before you save. For packaged food, scanning the barcode or the nutrition label gives you the values printed on the pack.
What is the Food Score?
Every meal gets a score from 0 to 100 for food quality: whole, minimally processed foods with protein, fiber and micronutrients score high; refined, sugary or heavily processed foods score low. It comes with a one-line reason. Your daily Food Score is the calorie-weighted average of the day's meals, so a big meal counts more than a coffee.
What can the AI coach do?
It sees today's meals, nutrition, activity, water and goals, so "What should I eat for dinner?" gets an answer that fits what is left of your day. It can also act: ask it to log a coffee or "two eggs and toast" and it prepares the entry for you to confirm, log a glass of water in one message, or fix a meal you already logged. It replies in the language you write in.
How does TrackAI set my calorie target?
It uses the Mifflin-St Jeor formula for your basal metabolic rate, multiplies it by your activity level, then subtracts or adds the energy for the weekly pace you picked (about 7,700 kcal per kg). It never goes below 1,500 kcal for men or 1,200 kcal for women. Protein is anchored to body weight (2.0 g per kg when losing weight) and the rest is split by your diet. You can try the same math in our free calorie calculator, and change any target in the app.
Does TrackAI work with Apple Health?
Yes. With your permission it reads steps, active and resting calories, exercise minutes, workouts, height and weight from Apple Health, and writes the meals you log (with their full nutrition), the water you drink and your weigh-ins back to it.
Can I count calories without weighing my food?
Yes. That is the point of photo logging: TrackAI estimates the portion from the photo and you adjust it if it looks off. For packaged food, the barcode or label gives exact values. Weighing is optional, useful for a few days if you want to calibrate your eye.
Does TrackAI work for building muscle, not just losing weight?
Yes. Pick "Gain weight" and a weekly pace, and TrackAI adds a calorie surplus to your maintenance and sets protein to at least 1.8 g per kg of body weight. With the High protein diet the split moves to about 35% protein, 40% carbs and 25% fat.
Does it work with Apple Watch?
There is no Apple Watch app, but steps, workouts, exercise minutes and calories burned recorded by your Watch reach TrackAI through Apple Health, and you can add calories burned to your daily goal.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Your food log is stored on your iPhone. Meal photos and descriptions are sent to our server so the AI can estimate the nutrition, and coach messages go there to write the reply.
Is this the same app as trackai.app?
No. TrackAI by Engcraft (App Store id 6778757380, "TrackAI: AI Calorie Coach") is a different app from "Calorie Counter: TrackAI" by Stellar Marketing AG, which uses trackai.app. The two are not affiliated.
Is there an Android version?
Not at the moment. TrackAI is for iPhone on iOS 17 or later, and the app is available in 34 languages.
